- The exhibition is a part of the photography competition organized by Muriya Tourism Development in collaboration with the Omani Society of Fine Arts last month. The contest, which was announced in early April, was open to all photographers and entries were invited on two themes related to Muriya's project in Jebel Sifah and the natural splendor of the area. 76 photographers participated in the competition.
- The opening event also witnessed an awarding ceremony to honor winners of the contest in both categories - Jebel Sifah Project and the natural beauty of Sifah. Theme one was dedicated to capturing Muriya's ongoing project in terms of architecture, waterfront, walkways and other aesthetic elements; and the second was devoted to the landscape and natural beauty of the Sifah village. Expressing his delight at hosting such a novel venture, Adil Taqi, CEO of Muriya, said "The tremendous response to the competition from the photographers in the capital and outside, and the quality of the pictures captured, have been well worth our efforts to showcase the splendor of Jebel Sifah."
- The culminating exhibition, he pointed out, is a visual treat for both professionals as well as enthusiasts from the field of photography. It depicts Sifah's natural bounty in various hues and moods and presents a unique look at Muriya's project in the locality.
- Congratulating the winners of the contest, Ahmed Al Busaidi, Supervisor of the Photography Club at the Omani Society of Fine Arts, said that, the contest was of top level, with the photographers demonstrating their imagination and creativity in presenting vivid images of Jebel Sifah and Sifah..
