- Muriya Tourism Development, in collaboration with the Omani Society for Fine Arts, is hosting, for the first time, a photography competition aimed at highlighting the splendors of 'Jebel Sifah' projects.
- 70 excited photographers are participating in this novel CSR initiative from Muriya, which was open to all photographers residing in the Sultanate. Participants were required to submit their entry forms earlier this month.

- Sharifa Al Abri, Marketing Senior at Muriya, said the main objective behind this initiative was to encourage artistic talents and to reach out to the local community. "This contest demonstrates our responsibility to not only showcase talents, but also highlight the natural beauty and inspiring architecture against the backdrop of Oman's developmental progress," she added.
- Photographic entrees to the competition, which are to be submitted at the Photography Club in Athaiba by April 20, will be judged on the basis of two themes: Jebel Sifah Project and the natural beauty of Sifah. While the first theme is dedicated to capturing Muriya's ongoing projects in terms of architecture, waterfront, walkways and other aesthetic elements, the second is devoted to the landscape and natural beauty of Sifah village.
- Winners of both themes will receive cash prizes of RO 1,000 each, with second and third prize winners getting RO 750 and RO 500, respectively. Two appreciation prizes of RO 100 each will also be awarded in both the themes.

- Jebel Sifah is a scenic destination about 45 km away from Muscat. It is spread over an area of 6.2 million square meters with the sandy white beaches and turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea adding to its splendor, along with the majestic backdrop of the Hajjar mountain range. Nestled amidst this beauty is the marina and marina town. It also includes the 18-hole PGA Golf Course, retail venues and restaurants and cafes.
- Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Angsana Resorts & Spas, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Missoni Hotel and Sifawy Boutique Hotel are planned along the beach front at Jebel Sifah to cater to discerning tourists and visitors with an array of luxurious services.
