- MUSCAT: Muriya Tourism Development, and National Bank of Oman (NBO), have recently signed an agreement, to provide housing loans for Muriya.
- Mr Adil Taqi, CEO of Muriya and Mr Abdul Qadir Al Sumali, NBO's AGM and Head of Branch Sales, signed the agreement to finance loans and strategies for the units and villas of Muriya.

- Also present at the ceremony, from NBO was Mr Hassan Shaban - Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Moosa Al Jadidi–Head of Wealth Management and Mr Mohammad Al Balushi - Head of Mortgage Sales and Muriya's Mr Roger Beamont - VP Sales, and Mr Michael Daniel - Corporate Treasuring Manager.
- Muriya, established in Oman in March 2006, is a joint venture between Orascom Hotel's & Development, and Omran. Muriya has invested in several projects, namely the four major projects of 'Jebel Sifah,' 'Salalah Beach,' 'City Walk' in Muscat, and an exclusive eco-lodge on Soda Island.
- National Bank of Oman (NBO) is the first local bank in the Sultanate of Oman founded in 1973, and is now acclaimed as one of the largest banks in Oman.
- The agreement with NBO, first made in 2008, is now re-established with slight amendments to the terms and conditions, to allow housing loans of up to 30 years, with an attractive interest rate of 6.75%. The agreement now applies to tenants interested in property ownership in Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach, and is extended to both local citizens and expatriates. National Bank of Oman is also willing to extend a secure 80% of the property value.
- CEO Adil Taqi from Muriya said: "This agreement is the fruit of our many years of cooperation and commitment to NBO. Now hopeful home owners have the promise of owning their own property with Muriya. Not only can they own homes in Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach, but they will also experience the height of luxury."
- NBO's Mr Abdul Qadir Al Sumali added:, " Muriya is a long standing and valued client. At NBO we are committed to offer our customers and clients the best of products and services that will allow and enable them to live with elegance."
- The signing ceremony reflects the promise of tourism development in Muscat, and reinstates Oman's reputable position as a stable and developing nation.
