Hotel Missoni

  • A new and distinctively different kind of hotel by the Italian fashion house, 'Missoni' will capture the increasingly important lifestyle sector of the hospitality market in Oman with 250 room keys. While the brand currently has three hotels in three countries, it is scheduled to open and develop 30 hotels in the coming ten years. Missoni will bring the timeless style, colour and glamour to life for today's design conscious traveller.

  • The hotel will be designed by American architect Michael Graves identified as one of 'The New York Five'. He is a popular name with his designs for domestic products sold in the United States. Graves and his firm have earned acclaim for a variety of commercial and residential buildings and interior design as well, prominent projects being National Museum of History, Taitung, Taiwan and Resorts World, Sentosa, Singapore. The firm Michael Graves & Associates has offices in Princeton and New York City.

  • The interior designer for Hotel Missoni is Rosita Missoni whose designs stand out for their creative spirit and sunny personality. The inspirations and emotions of fashion colour her ideas of home design. Rosita's work will be infused with Missoni's design aesthetics and pay tribute to its surroundings by infusing works form local artists as well as pieces from Rosita's private collection. Translation of the brand's multifaceted ideas into fabric and furnishing solutions has been made possible by the symbiotic collaboration between two leading Italian companies: Missoni, among Italy's top fashion designers, and T & J Vestor, a firm that boasts a long family tradition in home fabrics and furnishings.
